Most mass-produced dining tables rely on cheap plywood, particle board, and basic screws that loosen over time. We build differently, ensuring your table survives decades of daily family use.

  • Commercial-Grade Finish: You never need to use coasters. We apply a high-end commercial-grade sealant that allows spilled milk and wine to wipe right up.
  • Spot-Repairable: If the inevitable deep scratch happens, we can spot-sand and refinish that specific area without having to strip and refinish the entire table.

Every table is personally measured, designed, and fabricated by Jason Waldron. Nothing is just "delivered" to us — Jason personally handpicks every single piece of wood to ensure the highest quality. As a local business, installation isn't the end of our relationship — it's the beginning.

    Design & Wood Selection

    We start by determining the perfect dimensions for your room's flow and seating needs. Then, Jason personally hand-selects the raw wood boards to ensure the grain and character match your exact vision.

    Crafting & Finishing

    Your table is built from scratch in our West Grand Ave workshop using authentic joinery. Finally, we apply our signature commercial-grade finish so it is spill-proof, child-proof, and ready for daily life.

    White-Glove Delivery

    A heavy, solid wood table requires absolute care. Our team personally delivers, assembles the base, and positions your new centerpiece exactly where it belongs, leaving you with nothing to do but set the table.

  • What is the typical investment for a custom dining table?

    Our custom heirloom dining tables typically range from $​2.5k to $​8k, depending on the size, thickness, and material.

  • Can you build custom dining chairs to match my table?

    We do not build dining chairs, but we frequently design and build custom, matching benches for either side of your table.

  • Will the table get ruined if my kids scratch it?

    Wood will eventually show signs of life, but our commercial finish is highly durable. If a deep scratch occurs, we can spot-sand and refinish that specific area without needing to strip the entire table.

  • Do I get to pick the wood?

    Yes, we handpick all the wood ourselves, searching through individual pieces to put together the most beautiful table possible. We primarily use premium American Walnut and White Oak.

  • Do I need to use coasters on your tables?

    No. We use a high-end commercial-grade finish so you don’t have to worry about spilled milk or wine—it wipes right up. If an inevitable scratch happens over the years, the piece is easily fixable without having to refinish the entire table.

  • What is your current lead time?

    Because we are a founder-led studio, we limit our active project load. We are typically booking commissions 6 months in advance. However, we occasionally have openings for smaller pieces (like dining tables) sooner. Contact us to check current availability.

  • What areas do you serve?

    We are based in Chicago (West Grand Ave) and primarily serve the city and the North Shore, including Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe, and Lake Forest.

  • What is your return policy?

    Please note that we do not offer returns or refunds for any custom cabinets or furniture once production has begun. Because every inch is designed and built specifically for your home, we cannot resell these items. To ensure your total satisfaction, we provide detailed 3D renderings and finish samples for your approval before we cut a single board.

  • How do payments work?

    We work on a clear, two-step payment structure. A 50% deposit is required to purchase materials and secure your schedule slot. The remaining 50% is due only when the project is installed and you are thrilled with the result.

  • Are you insured?

    Absolutely. We are fully licensed and carry a full $​4,000,000 umbrella liability policy for your peace of mind and protection.

  • Do you provide design drawings?

    Yes. We never build from a “rough sketch.” After our initial consultation and site measurement, you will receive a design proposal to visualize the scale and layout of your piece before we cut a single board.

  • Does solid wood move or warp?

    Wood is a natural, living material that expands and contracts with humidity. We design our furniture to accommodate this, but slight seasonal changes are natural.

  • Do you do refinishing or repairs?

    We are a design-build studio focused on new commissions. We generally do not take on refinishing, repair, or restoration work on furniture built by others.
